Tell Congress: Protect Public Transit Funding

For decades, Congress has supported funding for American public transportation. In December 2015, with a strong bipartisan vote, the U.S. House and Senate passed the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act, which dedicated funding to support major transit projects through 2020.

But now, the Administration is proposing to cut funding for public transportation. Communities across the country have already made significant investments in key public transit projects. Proposed funding cuts would stall and ultimately undermine dozens of critical public transit projects.

#Rally4Transit, and join with other Voices for Public Transit advocates to tell your U.S. Senators and Representative to renew Congress’ historic commitment to American public transportation, fully fund the FAST Act, include public transit as part of any new infrastructure legislation, and reject proposed budget cuts.
